The Nebraska Medical Center's Neurosurgery Department offers a full range of treatment options for all neurosurgical problems. Our specialists have particular interests in a full range of spinal disorders that cause pain and disability, such as herniated and ruptured disks, degenerative disk disease, spinal stenosis, spine fractures, spinal cord tumors, and spine trauma. Our neurosurgeons offer comprehensive, individualized endovascular and cerebrovascular treatment strategies for aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and carotid and vertebral artery blockage (i.e. stenosis), including angioplasty and stenting.

The Neurosurgery Department offers a complete range of services for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of patients with face pain related to trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm.

The Neurosurgery Department has specialists who have particular interests and training in the treatment of skull base disorders, including a multi-disciplinary skull base team focused on lesions affecting the base of the skull - acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannoma) and other tumors of the cranial nerves.

The Nebraska Stroke Center offers patients and their families a progressive approach to stroke care. A collaborative effort between the functional neurosurgeons and epileptologists provide the latest treatment options for epilepsy and seizure-related disorders, including vagal nerve stimulation. Utilizing cutting-edge technology for deep brain stimulation, the Nebraska neurosurgeons care for patients with movement disorders, tremors, and Parkinson's Disease. The Nebraska Medical Center's neurosurgeons treat peripheral nerve disorders including trauma-related disorders and carpal tunnel syndrome.
