The University Hospital Auxiliary is focused on service and is dedicated to volunteering in various areas of The Nebraska Medical Center and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Other primary goals include service, fund-raising and education to benefit patients, their families, and our community.

In addition to sponsoring public educational programs and projects, the UHA has also established a fund to purchase amenities for patients that were otherwise unobtainable. Construction of the solarium and outpatient surgical center were made possible by generous Auxiliary donations.

Sources of fund-raising include:

• CornerStone Gifts, located in the Durham Outpatient Center
• Auxiliary's Attic Thrift Shop, located on south 42nd Street
• Annual Holiday Happenings Boutique each November
• A semi-annual gold sale
• Kaleidoscope fund-raiser held each spring
